Washington Dulles International Airport
Lump Sum
TMG performed a comprehensive build-out of the new two-story Senator and Business Lounges at Gates B-49 and B-51 at Washington Dulles International Airport. Completed under an extremely tight timeline, work included full demolition of the existing space and the construction of high-end interiors. The scope encompassed detailed custom millwork and finishes, drywall and acoustical ceilings, paint and wall coverings, electrical, plumbing, gas utilities, fire-life safety systems, telecommunications systems, HVAC, A/V specialties, elevator, and commercial food service equipment.
Since TMG completion of the two-story Senator & Business Lounges, VIP passengers have had a direct taxiway to the luxury club, which features the airline’s flair for the upscale travel experience. The Senator Lounge is located upstairs, while first class passengers have access to the amenities on the first level. The two lounges are connected by an elegant open curved stairway with a stainless steel and glass handrail.
Other special features of the luxury lounges include comprehensive MEP systems, fully equipped commercial food service facilities, an executive bistro and high-end architectural finishes, such as decorative metal ceilings throughout, gourmet food service facilities on two levels, an elevator, a dumb waiter, cutting-edge fire protection systems and upscale restroom amenities.
This project is a key example of TMG’s ability to deliver fast-track airline permitting, food service construction, and high-end specialty building materials installations on a very aggressive schedule.
