TMG successfully executed Phase 3 of an Air Handling Unit (AHU) Replacement project for a corporate/commercial environment demonstrating advanced expertise in public works infrastructure. The project involved replacing nine aging AHUs and associated return fans as part of a broader HVAC modernization effort. TMG managed a phased construction approach to minimize disruption, ensuring the building remained fully operational throughout the project duration.
The scope encompassed significant mechanical, structural, architectural, and electrical work. TMG installed new energy-efficient modular AHUs, temporary chilled water lines, and steel dunnage platforms to support both permanent and temporary equipment. The team also coordinated the removal and restoration of roofing and façade elements, managed complex electrical upgrades, and executed approximately 12 full-day crane lifts, all while maintaining strict adherence to safety and operational requirements.
A critical component of the project was the management and integration of the building’s fire alarm system. TMG meticulously handled the disconnection, storage, and reinstallation of all fire alarm devices associated with the AHUs, installed new wiring in dedicated conduit, and integrated the system with the Building Automation System for enhanced smoke control and equipment shutdown capabilities. Throughout all phases, TMG ensured the fire alarm system remained fully operational, underscoring the company’s commitment to life safety and seamless project delivery in occupied facilities.
