Under a task order contract, TMG provided design-build services to create facilities to house approximately 100 personnel responsible for constructing the new multi-million square foot facility known as New Campus East. Designated the Integrated Program Office (IPO), the facility was a customized solution that provided three conference rooms, a library, 68 cubicles, 12 private offices, kitchen, document control room, SCIF and other special purpose spaces. In addition, TMG provided site development of the nine-acre parcel including infrastructure improvements consisting of storm, sanitary sewer, domestic and fire protection water, electric and voice/data service for the IPO and for future buildings on the site, a 400-car parking lot, sidewalks, landscaping and other site specialties.
TMG’s scope transformed a written narrative that described the project programming requirements into a spatial design and a physical reality that was constructed in approximately six months. To accomplish the program requirements defined in the statement of work (SOW), TMG assembled 26 free-spanning, pre-engineered 12’x60’ modular buildings into a 18,720 SF structure whose internal spatial orientation was specifically arranged to meet the day-to-day operational needs described in the Scope of Work. The scope of work provided for a semi-permanent building that was designed and constructed to meet all current codes including the UFC, IBC and NFPA.
