TMG performed the phased design-build renovation and expansion of a federal Data Center and Administration Building. The first phase completed the design-build mechanical and electrical system upgrades of the 52,000 SF facility. Phase I was divided into two separate parts with discrete statements of work and delivery dates.
Phase 1 Part 1 involved upgrading an existing data center to include two new computer room air conditioning (CRAC) units and power distribution units (PDUs). The design and procurement of Phase 1 was fast-tracked, delivering approximately three months earlier than the original published schedule to meet the needs of the client.
Phase 1 Part 2 involved upgrades to the building’s mechanical and electrical systems. The work was successfully performed in a phased manner without disruption to the building’s occupants or mission-critical operations.
Phase 2 involved the design-build, 20,000 SF expansion of the Administration Building through a second floor addition that was constructed over an occupied, operational facility.
