Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. (ABC) recently recognized TMG’s excellent safety program with its highly respected STEP Award. STEP is an acronym for ABC’s Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP), a program established in 1989 to help ABC members consistently build upon their safety training programs and gain recognition for their outstanding efforts.

TMG was awarded ABC’s gold STEP recognition based on 20 Key Components for its efforts to achieve effective best safety practices on its multiple jobsites. Beneficial outcomes of TMG’s STEP efforts include:

• An organized approach for analyzing and developing safety and loss prevention programs;
• A valid, objective method for measuring safety program improvements; and
• A safety performance recognition useful in business development.
