TMG Wins Safety Award
April 27, 2005
Tanya Matthews, TMG
TMG Construction Corporation, of Purcellville, Virginia, is pleased to announce that it has received a Safety Award from the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority for its Outstanding Safety Record for the fourth quarter of 2004. The company also won this award for the first quarter of 2005. TMG provides a variety of construction services to the Airports Authority’s $3.4 billion Capital Construction Program at Washington Dulles International and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airports.

Each quarter, the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority recognizes contractors who have achieved an injury free work environment for their employees, and have demonstrated initiative in ensuring that safety is their first priority.

"TMG is totally dedicated to the safety of its employees, clients, subcontractors and the public," states TMG Principal Joe Matthews. It’s extensive safety program includes a 236-page Safety Manual. "This is what sets TMG apart; they operate this business in a very professional manner and TMG has a proven record among the best in the country", according to Prescott Engle of Paxson & Hawthorne of Leesburg, TMG’s insurance broker. Its program includes on-site preventive activities, mandatory hard hat and eye protection policies, drug testing, pre-employment screening, weekly toolbox safety talks at all job sites, and enforcement of the wearing of personal protective equipment.

TMG was recently awarded the MWAA Safety Award for safest contractor at Washington Dulles International Airport and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.
