TMG Wins New IDIQ Contract with Loudoun County
May 30, 2007
Nancy Baker, TMG
It may look like a simple roof repair or a plumbing renovation, but to residents of Loudoun County’s low-income housing program it’s a god-send. TMG’s project team on the Loudoun County Home Improvement Program (LCHIP) contract has successfully completed a dozen home renovations in the last few months and has been awarded a new contract to perform IDIQ services for the program.

The contract is established to aid the rehabilitation of homes occupied by low to moderate income homeowners and uses Community Development Block Grant to fund the program which is managed by the county. The program seeks to remedy health hazards, building code violations, accessibility needs and conditions that are deemed blighting influences.

Typical projects involve replacing windows, roofing, siding, carpeting, plumbing and appliances as well as painting. Most projects last for about three weeks. The LCHIP project team is led by Project Manager Michelle Stuckey with Jim Coots as Superintendent and Craig Harrison as Construction Engineer. Chris Green, Jim Carper and Jim Marangoni have done an outstanding job as Carpenters with help from Adolfo Burrion, Hector Cruz and Amildo Orosco as Skilled Laborers.

The most rewarding aspect of this contract, noted Project Manager Michelle Stuckey, is providing low-income families the critically needed home repairs they can’t afford on their own. "The residents love Jim Coots and the guys doing the work," she added. "They’re very grateful to the county and TMG for making it happen."

TMG was awarded an IDIQ contract as apart of Loudoun County’s Home Improvement Program (LCHIP). The program seeks to rehabilitate the homes of low and moderate income families.
