Description
This project will rehabilitate the Historic Superintendent's Lodge and Rostrum at Rock Creek Park. The Lodge House at Battleground Cemetery is in need of immediate repairs to prevent further deterioration of the historic building and bring it back to service. Exterior and interior work includes, but is not limited to, repair of wood windows, replacement of vinyl windows, slate and metal roof, gutter, downspout drainage work, repair of wood elements, stone, porches and exterior lighting. Interior work includes, but is not limited to, structural repairs, kitchen, electrical and mechanical system upgrades, installation of a fire suppression system and repaint historic colors. The Rostrum has undergone damage as a result of drainage issues. Damage to the roof has led to the continuing problem with it's condition. Work includes repair of the stucco ceiling, roof, scuppers, stonework, wood cornice and columns, concrete slab and drainage.

The project involves the construction of a 1.5 million gallon glass line water tank (113’dia x 23’ tank) a 30’ x 80’ masonry building, connection of the pump building and tank to the campus water supply system via a 24” piping system including pumps, motorized valves and other piping apparatus, an emergency generator, motor control center, VFDs and PLC to control the pumps, valve and tank functions and various other site improvements to include parking lot, fencing, etc.

Description
South Loop Road Bridge SL-4 involves the construction of a 300’ long by 50’ wide precast concrete bridge. Work includes: excavation; drilled concrete foundations; cast-in-place concrete abutments, piers, bridge decking and parapets, precast 60’ concrete beams, galvanized steel framing and security fencing and other related items of work.
